Custom Music Magazine!

In this custom music magazine featuring Alex Laidlaw, I used a few codes and conventions on this cover. I used a banner showing the 4 artists whos songs are actually inside the magazine. I used a pug to tell the audience what you are able to learn inside the magazine. I used a puff to interest the read into what they can win by reading the magazine. I used a number of house colours with Black, White, Red, Yellow and orange. I kept to these colours on the magazine. I also placed the barcode the the bottom right hand corner to make this magazine realistic in the music world. Main Headline showing who the main image is off whilst a list down the side of what songs you are able to learn. The 4 songs down the bottom left hand corner are in relation to the 4 artists at the top. The left artist is the first song and so on. I purposely left the blank white background so I have a little bit extra to improve on in the exam so it would be easier to compare and analys together.

Total Guitar!

After looking through a series of different music magazines such as :

• NME
• Kerrang
• Q
• TMM
• Total Guitar

I decided to stay with the design and layouts of Total Guitar. I felt like it was the correct magazine which suited my genre of music as two of the people I focused on had their own image on the cover of Total Guitar. Here below are four examples of Total Guitars covers including my two focused artists. Ed Sheeran & Ben Howard.

Mock Magazine Layout.

For my mock magazine, this will be the layout for it. I am unsure weather or not to do the same layout for my normal magazine or weather I should change it around depending on the final layout with everything in place.

1975 - Chocolate.

Another Indie band. To me the 1975 and Biffy Clyro are my two favourite bands and was my second choice of genre of magazine after singer songwriter.
